After a looooong wait we got started with the first map Obs, Left Overs Picked ( I mean depain picked this).
To my surprise it was an incredible hard fought battle. Left Overs heavy hitter depain was ready for the challenge. He lead his team to an early lead ( even after trying to kill his own team with the amp, gg color blind ) but DaBears were just toying with them. Letting them feel comfortable before they unleashed hell.
Oddly enough it wasn't Untamed making the charge for Dabears. He was no where to be found so captain Pumpkin did some outstanding last minute trades. He not only picked up one but two ctf players in the dieing minutes. DaBears welcomed Stealth and Mavs to the team who definitely carried there weight.
As I said Left Overs took the lead but once Dabears got rolling it was a freight train for sure. They battled hard in the last few minutes of the game. I took bout 15 screen shots in that time. My heart was pounding could this be an upset? As the clock ran down suddenly we had a tie. 86 to 86 sudden death OMFG.
Bears took hold of the center portion of the map. Sniper rifles aimed at the entry points. For sure this was gonna be it for Left Overs. Just one head shot would end the game. Upset in the making wasn't in the cards tonight however. Z pulled out a sniper kill of his own to end it all. Good God Damn that was close gg!!!
MVP in this map has to go to Stealth for his outstanding frags.
Next up was Curse, certainly a traditional tdm map.
Once again Left Overs took the lead. Considering this map has been played tens of thousands of times and every 1 knows what the strat is suppose to be no team controlled any spot. It ended up being almost a ff. Not much to say bout this match up. Still closer then I would have thought but again Left Overs took the double win with a 12 pnt lead.
Makes one wonder if DaBears heavy hitter would have shown up could they have taken a map away from left overs? I say they could have. Will there be a rematch in the play offs? Who will be the victor then? Stay Tuned
