  Match Recap

SNM had some drama and some obvious weak spots in their lineup.

First map was Conveyor (SNM's pick).
Sonic played well and had a strong showing, Freddy played well for the first half of the map, but ended up gunless running around with no help. Mercy was running around with 15-25% efficiency, disconnected a couple times and they ended up playing 3v4 for bits of the map.

For uD Hedz rocked the shieldbelt room (my personal favorite spot) quite well. He didn't need much help as SNM had no teamwork and didn't really make any strategic attacks on the belt room. Somebody would get in there eventually and make a lone run for it, but would end up getting pounced on by 2 or 3 uD members.

DaSnaksta seemed to be roaming the Keg/Amp side of the map mostly, I must say I was more interested in King of Queens than this pathetic display I was seeing by SNM.

Terrible map choice by SNM, Mercy had said he assumed ph34r would be there for map1 which is why he chose Conveyor, either way I don't think they had a strong enough 4th to pull this one out.

Map 2 was Turbine after sonic and Freddy both left. Ph34r showed up 8 minutes into the map and played for 12 minutes, and played well but uD maintained a 20 frag lead throughout Turbine and was never at risk of losing.

Dasnaksta elected to pour salt on SNM's wounds by playing Homi, who'm had 350 ping to choppa zone, instead of playing it safe and playing 3v4 against the weak SNM lineup, which is what I would have done. Homi didn't hide, he had 50% efficiency 10 minutes into the map, and finished off with 38% (not bad for 350 ping lol).

Dasnaksta flew through every part of the map mowing through anybody he saw, grabbing a lot of amps and raping spawns. One thing I noticed is nobody seemed to know how to grab the amp without pistoning, perhaps it's a lost trick of Turbine but you can jump off the center of the pillar just right and get up there. :)

They played their spots well and dasnaksta was able to roam unevaded and his teammates didn't get in his way. This was key in getting all those frags, his team we're organized and he seemed to know where he could spam safely.

I liked how uD played this map, and I wouldn't be surprised if they elected to pick this map against DBS (my team) next round. They already defeated DBS on Turbine earlier in the season although they had Hypnos playing who does not fit Turbine at all. With me yelling at them on voice we should have the discipline to make it a closer game this time. If DBS is to beat them on this map, they will have to have good communications and team up on dasnaksta instead of allowing him to roam around. Without dasnaksta carrying the load, this team can turn very average very quick, especially now that Armenian is banned for his tweakage, they will have to make sure their remaining top 4 show up.

I was impressed with uD's play overall, however I think they will need to pick it up a notch in the next round against us. DBS proved this round that their bench can come in and get the job done if needed, so uD will have their hands full.
