CTF-Gauntlet
Right off the bat, Africa took control, quickly capping back-to-back before we hit the 18 minute mark. The stoners just couldn't get anything going on defense or offense, as the African Americans put up cap after cap. Eventually DBS switched things up and the African caps slowed down. DBS even managed to get a few caps of their own, but it was too little too late and TA took the map easily.
MVP: Blizzard for his rock solid defense, and being three seals and two covers away from a triple double. Honorable mention to Sidoh for getting the only cycle/complete game in the server.
CTF-Terra-LE102
Terra was a marathon in every sense of the word. Luckily for the potheads, their short-term memory came in handy tonight, as they were able to put their abysmal performance on Gauntlet behind them and focus on Terra. DBS switched things up, adding in Nino to the lineup, who finally figured out how transfer files, and moving RoyalFlush to defense with Xellos/m3ss attacking. Both team's defenses were puckered up tighter than a snare drum, and neither flag got far from its stand for most of the map. The Africans had a few solid capture opportunities, but clutch saves from DBS spoiled the few good chances they had. Both teams fell back, and it seemed like both flag running tandems had to face what felt like three flag defense for most of the game. In the end some lucky timing and excellent communication paid off as DBS was able to sneak one home for the upset, and the 50 minute Terra marathon could finally come to an end.
MVP: The DBS defense - For their amazing performance in one of the most grueling Terra games I've ever witnessed or been apart of. Pitching a shut-out against this team on Terra deserves a freaking Oscar.
