Great games. Apathy's lineup was severely hurt by Relic leaving irc before the match. In fact, Apathy had to trade for Heretik just minutes before the match started in order to have 5 players. MVP's of this match were durron and kidsins. Both teams played great games, especially on lavagiant. Durron looked to be in control as he brought back to caps with ease. Any time durron had boots and/or armor, he was out of the base and had the defense confused many times. It looked to be big trouble for Apathy, but they battled back valiantly capping twice in a span of 2 minutes (which led to me and brutal both saying "wow" in spectator teamsay.) However, durron's offensive power shone through once again as he capped on his first grab of overtime thanks to great cover by Prodani12 and vinas. Thriller stayed in mid killing the scrambling Apathy team as durron jumped in for the cap. (Note: Durron about to pbj into his base to cap but was hit with sniper right before he did. It took him down to 43 health and he was then forced to just boot into his base for the winning cap It was very close.) Kidsins and Candyman played very solid games in an effort to keep their playoff hopes alive. If Relic and even the captain, burner had showed up for this match, it could've very well been a different story. But a great game nonetheless.
Coret was a more uneven match. Prodani and Durron once again took control on offense and Thriller and Impulse held down the fort on D as The Main Event went on to win this one easily by a score of 3-0. Lots of flak and rocket spam. GGs everyone. GL in the semi-finals TME. |
