Bleak resulted in almost identical stat lines for both teams. The difference in this match was the timing of returns for Jansport. We were able to return just as the FC was coming to cap, while the Ponies weren't as lucky. That's pretty much it. Everything else was even - flag kills, covers, frags, clutch returns, etc. MAC and Krm ran some resilient, unrelenting O, so props to them.
Incin exposed some weaknesses in the Jansport lineup, with some confusion and lack of presence in mid during key flag runs. We were also robbed of a cap a few steps away from the flag. Overall, Ponies had better awareness, and were faster to push up when necessary. That, and my D sucked. BOBO and Klr killed me way too often and got out easily. Gj to those 2, very strong offense.
I have to say that the current tie-breaker system is a bit weird. At least with the usual methods (both teams vote for their map and let mapvote randomly decide, or play one of the usual tie-breakers - Terra or Orbital) there is some input from both sides or they play a fairly even map. In this case, luck would have it that we played one of the Ponies' best maps, and arguably one of our worst (at least without Jesse's mid). Jansport's offense struggled a bit, mostly from swarming D (which means we didn't push up enough, or couldn't since our flag was gone), and our defense could have been more solid.
Prediction: 2-0 Ponies
Result: 2-1 Ponies
