The Has Beens were shorthanded this week, with bretzky a no show and lemon being traded hours before the match for wesdog, who also didn't show up. Sorn, on the contrary had his top 5 from the start, with trav subbing for cinco on map 2. On Vaulcity (SS's pick), sorn was popping off heads up top all match long, and HB's offensive cover never lived long enough to help out the flag carrier. Ballistic struggled on O for the first half of the map, and their defense of chicken, DD and n1ne let one slip away. After the first cap, they sent n1ne on O with ShatterdX, but he likewise was shut down by sorn and cinco. Guybrush did a good job playing both sides of the map, and was able to move up effectively for an assisted cap. jesse and zack kept the pressure up the entire map, and displayed fine teamwork in wearing down the HB defense. 3-0 SS. AreaN (HB's pick) was more of the same, as SS scored early and often. It was sorn's turn to play both ways on this one, and his fallbacks were crucial to shutting down the HB attack. n1ne and ShatteredX struggled to find each other with SS's swarming D throwing every weapon on the map at them. Guybrush went off with 3 caps, while jesse was equally effective with 1 cap and 2 assists. Trav filled in nicely on D with zack, easily surpassing HB's D of chicken and DD. Ballistic led the way in points for HB, racking up stats on both sides of the map, but it wasn't near enough. 4-0 SS Winner: MVP: Sorn 145 frags between the two maps 30 flag kills, 11 covers, etc... Versatility and intelligence on display. Don't bother ducking.
